Power Station and SmokeCaring for Climate Initiative is an initiative from the United Nations aimed at providing support and enhance the understanding of Low Carbon technology through events, exhibitions and publications. You can read more on the United Nations website.

Torse Ltd are very pleased to be part of this initiative and have signed up to what can only be described as something that all companies associated with energy procurement and provision should be part of and actively seeking to promote.

…..the UN Global Compact is seeking to build on the momentum generated in the past years to (i) advance mitigation efforts and promote the diffusion of innovative low-carbon technologies in particular in developing markets as well as (ii) enhance the understanding of the role of business in adapting to the impacts of climate on development.

Torse Ltd’s Managing Director, Mark Johnson, described the decision to sign up:

Torse really has an obligation to be part of this and would suggest that key players in energy should really be signing on the dotted line as we speak to ensure that the sort of momentum we need for this project gets carried through to the next level – that being, an understanding that climate change is a serious matter and that low carbon choices are imperative.
